Transit Chests!
Currently in production for the Bren, DShK, DP, MG34 and MG42.
My new cases are so much better than the old ones, though significantly more expensive.
Custom chests easily available!!!  I need access to a weapon to build it off of and at a minimum measurements for any accessory slots.

Note:
I do this for a hobby.  Given the extra time to allow paint to harden I now try to build them ahead of time.
I do certainly enjoy building custom cases, but please understand I do it when it is fun for me
(You get a better product this way and I can justify getting less than minimum wage!)
Custom cases may (and probably will) take as much as three months.

An MG34 chest in the final stages of production.  The rope handles need to be reinstalled (removed for painting).
You can see my finger joints.  I do it old style and cut them by hand (no router), though I do make the cuts with a circular saw.

An MG34 case before painting.  In this pic top left (by the buttstock is for the gunner's pouch.
The spare barrel carriers go in the center- you can fit at least three of them.  There is a tie down to hold them secure.
There's plenty of room for other random stuff, such as the assault drum under the muzzle.
This is so much more convenient than original ones, though arranged and sized similarly:
the bipod and buttstock can remain installed in mine!

<>My old style cases!  These are (closest first), plywood, OSB, and an original MkI Chest.  I no longer build these.

Okay, no secrets here.  These guys cost me about $65 to build.  I spend two or three full days on each of them.  (Yeah, I'm a slow amateur!)
I charge $100 for labor.  This is for a finger jointed, painted, felted, rope handled, pine board case with a piano hinge and a few accessory slots.
The finger joints can be deleted to save $10, but it slightly compromises strength.  I just do them because they look cool and original Bren MkI cases had them.

Shipping is relative to distance and runs $35 to $60, depending on distance traveled.  International orders will clearly be more expensive.
This covers freight, a brand new moving blanket, and straps to hold it all together.
The Postal Service will de their best to make it look like an original case flattened by a halftrack, I will do my best to keep it looking new.
PLEASE NOTE:
If they are significantly damaged just return it to me and I will repair or replace (my decision).
<>I will cover my shipping costs, including this second trip, out of the original shipping.  Buyer pays to return it to me.

Bottom line: one of these will cost about $165 + shipping.

Some of my first cases. again, I no longer build these.
